June Lienhard, Actor/Teacher

(she/her)

June Lienhard is an NYC based actor and teacher who graduated from Smith College in 2021 with a major in Theater and a minor in Education. Since then, she’s found her true passion for new play development: working as an assistant director/actor at Connecticut Theater Exchange where playwrights come bring their works-in-progress to life, being a member of the Clubbed Thumb Winterworks 2024 acting company as well as participating in their staging workshops, and starring as Chloe in Hook&Eye Theater’s devised show Space Nunz of the Rescue Mainframe. On Tuesday evenings, June can often be found at 154 Christopher Street listening to or performing in Naked Angels’ Tuesdays @ 9 cold reading series. She’s self-produced and starred in three plays: Happy Days by Samuel Beckett (Eggtooth Productions, 2020), An Intervention by Mike Bartlett (Eggtooth Productions, 2021), and Miss Margarida’s Way by Roberto Athayde (The BRICK, 2024.) June is also a fan of Shakespeare. As the daughter of an English teacher, the Bard has always had a spot on her bookshelf. Her favorite memory from high school is sitting at the kitchen table and preparing for her upcoming role of Lady M with the gentle guidance of her mom. June received classical training at college and at Shakespeare & Company’s summer intensive. In 2022 she was lucky enough to play her favorite fool, Lance, in Two Gentlemen of Verona.
